Sunday Shades at the 2XU Singapore Compression Run 2026: Shaking Things Up at Suntec!
If you were at the 2XU Singapore Compression Run 2026 Race Expo at Suntec Convention Centre from 3 to 5 April, you already know — it was an absolute blast. If you missed it, well, let's just say you owe yourself a visit to our next one.
Three days. Thousands of runners. Countless conversations. And one very, very energetic crowd of SundayShaders who showed up ready to move.
The expo floor was buzzing from the moment we set up. Runners arriving to collect their race packs, families exploring the booths, fitness enthusiasts geeking out over compression gear and running kit — and right in the thick of it all, the Sunday Shades booth, shades at the ready, challenge in full swing.
The Shade It Off Challenge: Word Got Around
Let's talk about the highlight of the weekend — because our Shade It Off Challenge was, once again, the crowd magnet we knew it would be.
The rules are simple. Pop on a pair of Sunday Shades. Shake — and we mean shake — as vigorously as you can. No hands allowed. If the shades fly off your head, you win. If they stay put, you lose.
Spoiler: they're hard to fly off. That's kind of the whole point.
And here's the thing — it's not magic, and it's not brute clamping force. It's FitFlow™, our design system built from the ground up for Asian facial features. The energy was electric. Spectators gathered. Cheering broke out. And the shaking? Let's just say some participants gave it everything they had — full-body commitment, hair flying, arms wide, hips going in three directions at once — and the shades? Still on. Still locked in. Prizes were up for grabs for our winners, which only added to the competitive spirit. But honestly, the real reward was the laughter and the looks on people's faces when they realised these shades genuinely, absolutely, do not slide.
Old Friends and New Faces
One of the things we treasure most about events like these is the people. Every expo is a reunion of sorts — familiar faces who've been rocking Sunday Shades through countless races, trails, and weekend rides, and new SundayShaders discovering the brand for the very first time.
We had runners come up and tell us they've had their pair for years and it's still going strong. We had first-timers who tried on a frame, jogged on the spot, nodded, and said: "Yeah, I get it now." We had people who followed us online finally meeting us in person, which honestly never gets old.
Those first-try-on reactions are everything. The quiet moment of adjustment, a small jog in place, then that nod — "this doesn't move." That's FitFlow™ doing its thing. No constant pushing back up the nose bridge, no distractions, no second-guessing. Just shades that fit and let you get on with it.
Whether you stopped by for two minutes or hung around for the whole afternoon — every conversation mattered. You reminded us, as you always do, why Sunday Shades isn't just about eyewear. It's about community, movement, and the people who show up and give it everything.
