Stuck at home? It’s time to beat those blues and get active! In this first of our ‘Get Out!’  series of articles about worthwhile natural places to visit in Singapore, we are featuring Hort Park? But firstly, did you know that Singapore has 350 parks and 4 nature reserves? That’s simply amazing, considering Singapore’s small size. Let’s get to Hort Park!

Billed as a one-stop gardening resource hub that brings recreational, gardening, research and retailing activities together – it is a must-visit place. Nestled among the many themed gardens are whimsical structures like pavilions and other repurposed decorative items that make this truly a special place. 

Hort Park Displays

It is opened from 6am till 11pm, so you’ll have plenty of time to wander its well-manicured grounds. If jogging is your thing, the jogging tracks are wide and well-maintained, There is plenty of space for the family – important during a pandemic where social-distancing must be observed.

If you’re feeling peckish, there are 2 well-appointed F&B outlets, Canopy & Vineyard. Set among in a garden surrounding, you can feast on the good food and the tranquil scenery. If gardening is your thing, try picking up something for the office or home from the nursery.

Hort Park is located at Hyderabad Road and is linked to Telok Blangah Hill Park and Kent Ridge Park. So, if you have the time, it’s a very worthwhile place to visit and to explore beyond the boundaries of the park.
